And that's the false assumption that is leading you down the wrong path. Science is obviously a human endeavour, and scientists are human beings, guilty of the same confirmation bias as everyone else (though statistically, the scientifically literate are far less guilty of it than the general population) but you are missing the key difference that colours everything science produces; the scientific method. The whole point of the scientific method is to reduce the human element as much as possible, to take it out completely would be the ideal.
