And that's the false assumption that is leading you down the wrong path. Science is obviously a human endeavour, and scientists are human beings, guilty of the same confirmation bias as everyone else (though statistically, the scientifically literate are far less guilty of it than the general population) but you are missing the key difference that colours everything science produces; the scientific method. The whole point of the scientific method is to reduce the human element as much as possible, to take it out completely would be the ideal.

I am a bit confused by some of the posts here. Since when has any faith based "science" (Creationism etc) ever been taught in British schools? In the 70's and 80's when i were a lad (showing my age here), my science teachers taught us science. They were never compelled to teach varying theories as far as i am aware. I has never heard of Creationism until about 10 years ago. Muslim or Christian free schools are not on my radar and actually teach a tiny number of students. As i said earlier, if you don't agree with them/like them - ignore! What fucking difference does a few religious minded people being taught "their science" matter to the massive majority. None whatsoever. Move along, nothing to see here.

It is only pompous cunts like Dawkins who insist on all believing exactly what he thinks that are making an issue. His whole persona seems to be based around spoiling other peoples fun, just so they are subservient to his "greater" wisdom. He is a Science Fascist, if you don't agree with him absolutely 100%, you are an idiot.(He has a Masters degree to prove it) To me he is no better than the 6,000 year old earth nutjobs.

I think you'll find he has a DPhil and thank God for him. There are so many nut jobs like Blair trying to reverse three centuries of enlightened secularism that we desperately need more proselytising atheists like Dawkins to balance the loops out.

I don't care what anyone believes as long as they don't go round making everyone else believe it. Dawkins doesn't try and make you believe anything. He asks you to logically consider the facts and let everyone else do the same. The problem with the Abrahamic religions is they are very keen on killing everyone who doesn't agree with them.(except for us Jews who know Y****h will do it for us

As for whether anything happens to me or not...well I'm an atheist Jew so I get all of the guilt with none of the benefits of being of the chosen race. (And just in case I'm wrong I'm still not going to say or write... you know...what you said - I've got enough problems with the bacon and shellfish).
