There are a few exceptions such as cults and obscure backwoods religions keep themselves to themselves.

Hi Trig, Hi Bill 0;)

Yep, thanks to that "melting pot". We can adopt aspects of French culture without forcing hairy armpits on our women and chainsmoking rudeness on our wait staff. We can adopt aspects of British culture without taking in that awful tea and yellow teeth. We can adopt aspects of Japanese culture without everybody becoming drunken workaholics. And so on.

Let's see...

... women with hairy armpits, chain smoking rudeness, bad teeth, drunkenness...

Oh! you were being ironic!

You miss the point.
Nobody is FORCING hairy armpits, bad teeth, etc.
It’s a CHOICE!
In Limey Land bad teeth are mandatory.
In France, rudeness is mandatory, as well as not bathing for a month.

Hmm. I wonder why you experienced rudeness? I've had nothing but a great experience in all my visits. I suspect because I learned a few words of French, I'm polite to those I meet, I don't walk around dressed like a golfer on holiday and I don't constantly have my face in a map, or spend all my time complaining that the signage isn't in English.
