You aim your gun at the page, yell ‘Freeze!’ and then open fire, being very careful to hit the black bits not the white bits.
Q. How do you stop Cacique Caribe from breaking into your car?
A. Leave a book on the passenger seat or dashboard in full view. Fear of the unknown will do the rest.

We're still having very enjoyable games of "Fantasy Warriors". On Monday it was 2000pts of very heavily armoured Men-at-Arms vs High Elves. As to be expected from facing off two armies consisting of vet/elite, disciplined troops, it was a slow and brutal battle. Cavalry on one flank engaged in a wheeling melee won by attrition, infantry on the other.
Sadly we ran out of time, but I'd got one enemy battle-leader locked in hand-to-hand with a hero and I had the war-chief about to be ridden down by one of my battle-leaders. Meanwhile, my foot was desperately outnumbered but still passing morale checks as the enemy, now out of ammunition, advanced on them with swords drawn...
It's a 25 year old game, and it's still deeper than most of the modern competitors. Needing to actually move orders around and ammunition limits are subtle rules but they have fascinating effects on the gameplay.

We had a game of Sharp Practice - Sicily 1860 Garibaldi vs Bourbon reactionary scum - which started with a strong showing from the Bourbons seizing the monastery early on but ended with a magnificently timed charge led by Garibaldi in person through the Monastery garden:

with die rolls (white = Garibaldi) that reversed a potentially climatic Bourbon advantage:

Cracking set of rules with lots of little narrative stories emerging

[quote="Macunaima"]Looks like RCYB (Revolutionary Communist Youth Brigade) graffiti from the 1980s. Just needs a “No matter what it takes!” suffix to be perfect.
You used to get Graffiti like that in my home town, some sort of joyless monster possesses anyone who has sat through any kind of Marxist Dialectic discussion and makes their wall-writing insufferably dull.
There was a Great bit of graffiti on the main bus route into Leeds from Studentland when I was a lad. It started out as
'WAR KILLS
BABIES'
in enormous letters, and you could almost hear the whiny voice it was written in.
This was then changed to
'WAR KILLS ALL KNOWN
BABIES. DEAD'
and was then progressively modified over the months. It was a real joy to behold.
(sorry for the change of tangent, it was the combination of 'baby Killllerrr!!!' Macunaima and Graffiti that brought it to mind.)
