Are you sure you don't mean - Nazis'?

Only if my MPD were kicking in -- and they were all Nazi's.*

Damn -- I mean Nazis!

*But then I'd likely be too busy yelling "We are legion!"

Ah! I thought they all shared the one sneer. Apologies.

Hmm. I see what you mean.

So, if you had many Cheshire Cats. . .?

Well 'Cheshire' is the adjectival modifier of 'cats' and is connected directly to the type of cat ie a 'Cheshire Cat' hence the capitalisation of the word cat. So the entire entity requires only one pluralisation marker - formed by the addition of the letter 's' at the end of 'Cat' - ie Cheshire Cats (as you said). Under no circumstances would you have Cheshires Cats. You could have Cheshire's cats if you were referring to all the felines in the county of Cheshire, regardless of species. However that is probably not relevant? (and the 'C' in 'cats' would not in these circumstances be capitalised).

'The Nazis' sneer' means the sneer worn by all Nazis. [assuming such a thing exists/ed]
'The Nazi's sneer' means the sneer worn by one particular Nazi.
As you were suggesting you were uncertain you could play a whole game 'wearing the Nazis permanent sneer. Oops-- I mean Nazi's.' I presumed you meant the generic Nazi sneer (see above) rather than a particular Nazi's sneer. In which case - "Nazis' sneer."

What do you think?

This for me too! ^

OK,OK -- maybe it should be "the Nazi Sneer".

The Cheshire Cats reference was an unfinished analogy: does each wear its own smile, i.e., "the Cheshire Cat's smile"?

Plural-- "the Cheshire Cats' smiles"?

Generic -- "the Cheshire Cat Smile"?

Is that what you mean by "sharing the same sneer"?

Or do you mean they take turns with it, like the Graeae's eye?

Or is it "the Graeaes' eye"?
Or "the Graeae Eye"?

Damn -- I've fallen down the rabbit hole! :(

PS: I think an argument could be made that "Cheshire Cats" is correct, when referring to the proverbial, rather than the geographic, cats. Cats.

PPS: And don't come back with "What's a geographic cat?"!

How do you pronounce “Graeae’s Eye”?
The last word, I’m pretty confident.

English is definitely her second language, so she probably can't help much. Unless Bill forgets the details of that particular persona, that is.

Fake staff are so hard to keep straight these days.
