And you think something like TMP is in the same league as those?
I don't doubt that EU authorities would love to take some of those large multi-nationals down a peg or two. It would do wonders for their credibility.
But farting around with something as petty and trivial as a wargames forum, because someone wants their posting about tank formations of East Germany during the cold war removed in a moment of petulant hissy fit, is not going to get their attention.
I'm sure the silly twat complaining about their privacy and wanting their post to be deleted will have every right to have that done, but I am not convinced that anyone is going to put much effort into it when there are much bigger fish to fry and much more publicity to be gained with companies such as Facebook et al.
That's who they are itching to get their hands on, not fucking TMP, TWW, LAF, Frothers, etc. You cock.
Oh and fuck you too very much. You're half right, unlike your contention that it's up to the individual to raise legal proceedings. The EU would love to rape Zuckerberg and the rest of the arrogant little shits who have created a Brave New World of ethical vacuum. They wouldn't give a shit about chicken licking Bill, but it's not about users' posts. It's whether Bill is appropriately using, securing and handling personal data. If I was him, I would be booting EU citizens, or doing a re-consent for the uses for their data. I will bet you anything you like, that come 25 May, Bill will be in breach of the GDPR.
As I understand it, (and I do this shit for a living, among other things), the ICO is legally obliged to investigate a complaint. I wouldn't imagine a cease and desist letter costs them much, 'fill in the blanks'. It's going to get really fucking messy.
If you're a member of other wargames lists, then there's every likelihood you will already have seen re-consent requests and so on. This shit is real.
