I can put the site back into maintenance to fix the problem, but we'll be down for two hours or so. What do you think?

What is he doing?

sounds like he doesn't have a clue what's caused the problem and doesn't know how to fix it

but that happens when you write code and forget to comment it or make notes on what each method does

I can put the site back into maintenance to fix the problem, but I'd have to end my skype session and stop wanking for a couple of hours. What do you think?

Professionally I'd call it 'abdication of responsibility on an epic scale', but as it's Obtusetrout I'll go with 'the same old fuckwittery'

You can still access Topics by clicking on them on the front page

Lucky they haven't got a member who starts 200 topics a day with links to irrelevant bollocks and cannot be stopped.......

Amazingly Tango seems to have been laid low by the outage!

In some BB packages maybe the database structure is flat enough that he could do it with a lot of careful iterations of targeted transformations of the existing TMP data, but I can't see how it's gonna take less than ungodly fuckloads of trout-hours.

You don't reckon he's been trying a bit of file transfer or summat and borked his own site?

That would be...amusing.

While Bill posts away on topics such as this…

The article assumes Putin was an "intelligence officer," but KGB insiders claim that Putin had a rather ordinary job in the KGB, nothing important or glamorous.

It's almost like he's ignoring the issue deliberately… :loopy:
