And let's be clear. If he goes with a turn-key solution for TMP "4.0" (what the hell were 1, 2, and 3.0?), the likelihood that he can import TMP's vast history of threads is damn low.
In some BB packages maybe the database structure is flat enough that he could do it with a lot of careful iterations of targeted transformations of the existing TMP data, but I can't see how it's gonna take less than ungodly fuckloads of trout-hours.
And that assumes he's got at least an amateur programmer's mindset, which is a bit much if you look at say, how he's "designed" an advertiser login system where there's a password in the querystring of the url, which turns out to, by his own admission, be a completely pointless password that doesn't really protect anything in the first place.
