But mostly I come here to moan about him rather then to insult him.

"I come to bury Caesar - not to praise him.." actually, he's done such a good job of burying himself, that if we aren't on this thread, isolated and fun as it is.. to bury or praise.. there are damn few options left..

Read what he said again old chap - He said it's NOT sucking the life out of Frothers, that Frothers had the life sucked out of it ages ago. With all respect.

OK, well what I meant was that it's compounding the problem, that it shows a lack of willingness to improve things. And saying that this thread is creating traffic and footfall and is the most active thing on here is what I mean about self-justification. What about posting other stuff? What about posting other material that may engage elsewhere and widen the scope of the forum, add something.

I agree there was a definite change when Rev left and Redzed and others. But so what? Again, get over it. Move on. Because they've left and it isn't the same is that a reason for running things into the ground? That's the logical conclusion of General's post. That strikes me as nonsense.

I should emphasise, before the inevitable criticism comes that I prescribing what people should and shouldn't post, that I can take or leave this thread, that I can ignore it as well as I ignore the football thread. There has been some good stuff on here, both in highlighting Bill's ways and just because some of it has been simply amusing. But it's the nastiness that is infecting elsewhere on the forum that I don't like, and the self-justification for the continuance of this thread.

OK, well I've said my piece. I've explained how I feel. It'll just go in circles so I'll leave it at that.

The only justification needed for any thread here is that someone feels the desire to post something. If people want to continue to carry on with this thread why not? Anything else becomes moderation. And who said I was advocating running things into the ground? I'm all for you posting fascinating threads all over this site and encouraging people to post on Frothers to bring some life back to the place. Personally I have nothing of any interest so say and have no ability to inspire anyone, so I mostly stay in this thread keeping out of everyone's way.

Oh goodness me that would never do. That would involve them actually making an effort.

Far easier to sit there moaning that they don't like it because it's not what it used to be.

That is the crux of Frothers for me, and marks it out from other forums. Otherwise I'd stay on LAF or TWW.

I like the humour here, but Frothers is getting subtly more tedious and Val Doonicany by the day. An age thing perhaps?

If this thread went, they'd only blame the football thread for everything... then it would be the "what are you listening to now?" thread 0;)

Yep, this site should go back to being what it was in past years. The official Kev White Fanboi site.*

>Did you see the massive hands on that sculpt?

>>Er, the figures is depicted wearing gloves.

>Yeah but they were fucking massive.

>>Er, they are meant to be riggers gloves.

>Well Kev wouldn't sculpt em that way.

>>No, the figures were sculpted by someone other than Kevin.

>Yeah that's the problem.

>>What's the problem?

>Well they should be wearing a ball gag.

>>Er, why?

>Cos Kev makes me wear one right up until the point where I am actually licking his balls because he can't stand the sound of me fawning like a fucking cunt-struck thirteen year old. Being a gimp ain't wot it used to be.

>>Twat

.cunt

>>Arseface

etc, etc, etc

*Kevin White is an extremely skilful sculptor, one of the best and is probably a really nice chap, I dunno I've never met him or had any direct dealings with him but I'd be quite happy to buy some of his minis.

Kev got my United States pretend money on several occasions. The forum started it's decline when facebook came about and that Salute argument happened where Redzed kicked the Rev in the nuts at a subway station and BME was there laughing at him or something. Honestly, social media dynamics have shifted away from forums and onto facebook and google+ more and more. People prefer to post pics and get "likes" and "+1's" as that's easier than coming up with soothing platitudes on a shit paint job. Trust me, I have plenty of soothing comments about my shit painting. Maybe I'm just old and so unhip my legs should drop off but the noise to signal ratio on popular social media is too high for me to even remotely be constructive.
I'd say that facebook, etc. is more responsible for lowered traffic here, at TMP, forums in general.
