Give it a rest? Who are you, my fucking dad?

It's just a piss take. Relax. As you say, most wargamers wouldn't give a toss. So why do you?

Maybe a few on here are shooting for a gifted Supporting Memberships over at That Other Place?

Enough was enough a very long time ago, it is now kept going by a few with an axe to grind.

Reference is often made to how many have now left TWP, I suspect a lot have also stopped coming here as a result.

There is no comparison between this thread and past ones referred to.

The "majority of wargamers" don't read this and wouldn't give a toss if they did.

Give it a rest.

Exactly! Why bother to read this thread after all as you say it's of no relevance to anybody other that the handful of people that enjoy it.
It's not effecting anyone really because the majority of wargamers don't read it or even care The only mention of people leaving TMP to go to TWW is for Bill's benefit (Hi Bill  ) It's not like any of them mentioned that they left TMP because of Frothers. Most seem to have made up their minds based on other factors.
I think part of the problem is that people read the hyperbole and imagine that we actually believe it ourselves rather that writing it with the knowledge that Bill will read it (Hi Bill  ) and be frustrated that he has no control over this forum, which must be Hell for a control freak 0;)
As you say, no one is trying to stop it... except you ruined that by finishing with "Give it a rest" so now I'm a little confused, do you want us to stop or carry on? :? 0;)

I will cheerfully admit to having an axe to grind with Bill Armintrout.

So? And I shouldn't after the way he has treated me and dozens of others?

And if the majority of wargamers don't read this -- and you are right, they don't -- why are you so worried about it?

First of all, I'm not posting here because I believe "the majority of wargamers are reading this": I am posting here to take the piss aand occasionally blow off steam with other people who have been fucked over. Mostly to take the piss these days.

Secondly, I don't get it. How can "the majority of wargamers" or "everyone" not give one fucking toss about this topic and yet simultaneously be leaving Frothers in droves because of it?

Sorry, man, but you are full of shit. This topic is isolated in its own little corner of Frothers. No one comes here to read it by now unless they want to and we are not taking it anywhere else. The IMPORTANT info about TMP is separated off into its own thread.

Finally, in spite of the fact that the vast majority of my posts here on Frothers are confined here, you'll notice that over the last fee months I have posted a hell of a lot of gaming-related material showcasing the figures and terrain I have been working on.

You have done what, precisely?

No - thankfully.

Just someone with a "differing opinion" which is apparently not allowed.

One post in 1500 pages makes me a control freak, so it seems.

Do I think it should stop? yes, just my opinion, which you will ignore and probably throw abuse.

Nope, just wondering why you are posting on this thread, unless you are hoping to convince some people to stop airing their differing views?
Is there some other reason you posted here on a thread that you don't like, but don't have to open?
I'm honestly intrigued by this.
(no smileys, because this is one of those rare serious questions from me)

Where did I say I was worried? I just think it has gone too far. Since you will carry on regardless why do you care what I say?

The majority of wargamers are not Frothers and where did I mention droves?

I said nothing about you or what you may have posted elsewhere.

Since anyone with a different view just gets abuse I'll leave it there.

For the record I am not a fan of calling Bill names, as one of the reasons I dislike him is for calling me names.

I have no issue with describing his actions as dishonest, duplicitous, self serving and so on, as that is quite true.

I try to use this thread to highlight his irregular actions, the fact he is a hypocrite, does not have his paid customers' best interests at heart and so on.
For me, calling him a *** **** serves no purpose, so I don't.

But mostly I come here to moan about him rather then to insult him.

Spear, or any other member unhappy about this thread and yet still posting on it, could you answer the above question?

I, too, am intrigued.

No you (and others) are the ones trying to stop people airing differing views.
I posted because, as I have said, it has gone too far (in my opinion)
One point made about TMP is that posts are made and not challenged so they must reflect the views of all there.

As for "still posting" I made one comment to give my opinion and then replied - given the responses there is no point in going on (unless I like being abused).
