actually BBB is right about Frothers being generous, I'm pretty sure each charity bash on here, normally pulled together by Dags and numerous good willed folks who do the sculpts etc, has made a pretty good sum for the charities chosen every time. For all the arguments online, every Frother I've met in real life, normally at Salute are all nice chaps.

My problem with Troutfister has little to do with his hiring transpinnays (though I will admit to cheerfully taking the piss on that point): it has to do with the fact that he is a manipulative, hypocritical fuck who is doing his best to make the worst stereotypes about the hobby -- that it is full of racist, jingoistic, nativist men who couldn't get a date if they paid for one -- look true to life.

Furthermore, you're whinging about how 1% of Frothers total postage might be on this thread? Sweetheart, almost TEN PERCENT of your total postage is on this thread. That's an impressive track record for someone who claims they couldn't give a fuck about this topic.

But your nasty pack mentality has become rather jarring. Frothers has a reputation for being argumentative, profane and disturbed... But frankly next time the tables go up at salute what a lot of people will know us as is stupid, ignorant, childish and unpleasant. So let me get this straight: "everyone" simultaneously knows that we are "a bunch of TMP rejects making an impotent stand" and yet, somehow, simultaneously, this self-same "everyone" can't tell the difference between a hobby group's activities and the pissing and moaning of a small number of people who are marginally associated with that group, on ONE THREAD of an on-line forum that is CLEARLY LABELED as "nonsense" and not directly gaming related?

"Everyone" is pretty fucking dense then. It's a wonder that they can even read the banner over the tables at Salute. My bet is that "Everyone" will be more likely to stop drinking Fosters in protest.

Bunny, baby, you were one of the few people actually taking a "stand" in this entire mega-thread. The rest of us are here just to gripe, bitch and laugh about the dog's breakfast TMP has become. In spite of Bill's breathless accusations, no one here is "hacking" TMP. No one is doing "drive bys" (or if they are, it's subtle). No one is spamming TMP members with death threats or hate mail. In fact, the only attempts ANYONE has so far made to make this discussion spill over into Real Life was when Bill/Chumpie threatened to turn someone in for innappropriate use of a computer during office hours, and when someone tried to plea to Anonymous to attack THIS site for supposedly being "anti-GLBT".

So what "bullying" and "impotent stand" is this, precisely?

What it seems like to me is that you want to censor people who are talking about something you don't like, pure and simple.

I called bill on his use of charity because it isn't. I told him if he did that here it would be illegal. Back at 250... When this thread had a point... The kind of point frothers has when it goes after liars and cheats...

But since then it has turned into a completely different kettle of fish. Calling a wanker a wanker is one thing... Labouring it for 1500 pages makes you (and by extension the site) all look completely batshit mental.. And like I said detracts from the true things you say because it all looks like vitriolic bile spouted by people with a chip on their shoulder. This thread did its exposing long ago... Every now and then something new crops up that is worth posting... But because you separated it with 300 pages of mind numbing abuse it is a) missed by the many people who have given up reading and b) just looks like another bit of the nonsense.

Bullying is a tactic... It can be done to the guilty and the innocent and it's not nice or appropriate for either. Mob justice, baying crowds with their torches out... Not attractive... Beneath you and blatantly stupid.

Let's face it. This thread became a little club of people who got all carried away with the witch hunt.. Most people know witches don't exist so they are free to dismiss all this as nonsense. Even the important bits.

And when you paraphrase someone's post completely inaccurately in a quote it only adds to the overall impression that you are not honest.. And if you are not honest why would anyone believe you when you say Bill is not?

It's so utterly self defeating and counterproductive. Given that most of you are not stupid then it might be more honest to rename the thread 'Bill baiting and Sour Grapes' since this took over from the strange goings on and weird vibes ages ago.

Yep so self defeating and counterproductive that no one actually believes anything that came to light anymore. Everyone is now completely convinced that Bill isn't Monty or Francis, Transpinay helper doesn't exist, no one ever left TMP, The Wargames Website is just a rumour, Blast-tastic is actively aided by TMP and Bill is a computer security genius.

I know it helps you to think that TMP is imploding... But it looks pretty much the same as it ever was. And yes... Most people over there don't believe it... They think you made it all up... And the thing is.. I have a new baby... I can only do things that involve using one hand... And the best things that involve that are inappropriate whilst holding a baby. I happen to love this thread, as pointless as it is, it fills the idle moments while I wait for greenstuff to bake off. (Fallen London used to fulfill that role, but this is far more surreal!)
I'm sorry you seem to take it far more seriously than most of us do.
I'm sure most of us don't really care where this thread wanders now, it had it's moments of seriousness and they were duly noted in the proper thread. Mostly this is now a kind random jottings thread with the bonus that Bill and certain others feel they have to check it frequently and get upset.
In reality this is just a dumping ground for total bollocks which frankly I'm surprised you hadn't realised. Anything that actually merits serious discussion will be picked out as before and placed in the serious thread! Anyone that actually wades though all 1571 pages of this and still assumes that this is a serious discussion and gets worked up over it... well words fail me!
