If he was claiming that your argument was wrong because of your academic status then you would be right, but all he is in fact doing is saying with that particular post is that your style of posting is long winded and lacking content, which is a fairly common trait of much academic writing (or at least the common perception of it), so it's fair usage of the term. Plus you do tend to waffle on a lot Mac.

Unless you mean ad hominem to simply mean an attack or insult as opposed to a fallacious argument of course, in which case you're on the wrong forum.

When you stoop to writing purile infantile haikus about people you don't like you have become indistinguishable from the people you are complaining about. End of the day Bill / tango, legion et al would feel very much at home on this thread and very out of place on the rest of the site.

So? What do you think you are achieving here other than to help us reach the next stretch goal? Do you honestly think if this thread vanished Frothers would somehow become filled with enlightening topics about miniatures or that we would all become obsessed with football and talk endless drivel about that instead? Just how do you think not having this thread would change Frothers in any way others that to decrease what little traffic there is here even more?
Your theory that Frothers has so completely undermined any valid points regarding Bill is fascinating and completely explains the widely held views outside of TMP that Bill is not a complete cunt and why The Wargames Website failed so hopeless to get any members and soon folded after it's creation.
