Doesn't seem to me to be attached to Nappy stuff - though my sideline view of the sport (nappies) does convey a more-than-usual 'emperor's new clothes' disposition to the participants...? dunno...I run into the same sort of mindset when trying to discuss aircombat, but then I always assumed that I was the one out of step (though keeping perfect time to the voices in my head...).

My go-to response is that I only play sci-fi and imagi-nations. Even my "historical" stuff is actually occurring in a parallel universe slightly to the side of ours. It looks just like ours, but is a tad off here and there. So if I want to paint up FOUR regiments of Napoleonic French Carabiniers instead of two, fuck off: it´s an imagi-nation.
