Putting those posts on their own board to make them easier to turn off is yet another effort by the members to deprive him of a potential revenue stream.
It seems members just aren't interested the fortunes of possibly imaginary people that play no part in the community any more than they would be interested in the state of one of Bill's hard drives!

You need to make them believable, sit down and create some background stories (you've got some on your other site to work with) Imagine yourself as that person when you type in their comments.
