TMP has a new assistant editor and the amount of attention paid to her is really quite odd IMHO. First off, she's not a wargamer but was hired to be an assistant editor? Guess having an assistant who doesn't know the business might be alright in many circumstances, but you'd think an assistant editor should be relatively well versed in the subject he or she is editing. Second she's a young woman from the Phillipines and there's a rather unsettling amount of attention being paid to her personal affairs. Viz:

Perhaps I'm just being a bit oversensitive based on past distaste over some of the things that have been done on TMP. Still makes me feel a bit unclean to read all that. I keep imagining him breathing heavily as he types (or, perhaps, heavier than usual) and that's not something I want to imagine.
