Opeth put out a blinding "twin" album Damnation/Delivererance the former being a pretty radio friendly prog/acoustic record that you might like. The former is their usual progressive metal that while mighty does what it says on the tin.
I won't argue on Meshuggah whilst being one of the cornerstones of the modern metal style, decades ahead of their time etc they're very much marmite!
