I like the metal, but I like other stuff.
It;s not a case of only liking metal, just a caseof appreciating good music when you hear it.
I like a load of stuff on ECM, JOhn Abercrombie, Stena NOrdenstan, Portishead, the stupids, FSoL, white stripes, Paul Desmond, Discharge, Doom, ENT, Isaac Stern playing almost anything, UFO, and others.

I like stuff that's done with verve and feeling, sometimes with great skill, other times just with a lot of guts.

Music is like minis, you shoudl be able to appreciate Foggers, Rackham and Baccus, etc, not just GW.

The Stupids, met them a couple of times and they were..well, stupid :) Doom & ENT were bloody good when I saw them (back in the days of the UK grindcore explosion, when Napalm Death T-shirts were only a fiver).
I'm running out of places to hide the bodies..

I can't imagine how hard it must have been. I feel for you bro.

Saw the Stupids a couple of times at the Sir George Robey. Good fun but nothing that special.

I think I saw Ed Shred and the gang four times in Portsmouth - always highly energetic, very fast and very tight.
I consider VanStupid as one of the all time classic skate punk records. Also 'born to, built to' is an all time skorcher!

Listening to Black Dog tonight!

Unfortunately, with this being a miniatures site, the prevailing musical inclination amongst the members is for simplistic drum, guitar and testostorone heavy music, often featuring juvenile lyrics about fantasy worlds, the occult or how big the singers cock is and specifically designed to be listened to by spotty kids who are incapable of getting a girlfriend during their teenage years. 0;)

Amen to that Citizen Duffy.

But you don't have impeccable taste in music, having previously expressed a liking for mid 80's Beige-funk, look-out Shamar Attack!

I on the other had am the "Minister for taste" in the new FU:UK Repuplic, and my choice of music is perfect, if a little repetitive...

Rufus Wainwright, Release the Stars.

Rufus Wainwright? Pack yer bags sonny!

I'm now listening to Skinneyman which shows far more wit than I thought any London 'Underground' rap would.

Is that a mis-spelling of Shalamar or are you doing a bad Michael Jackson impression? Sha Mo mutherfucker! Hee Hee.

Anyway, it's more likely to be a Loose Ends Explosion.

My office is above a recordshop, with the windows open I can enjoy the latest music for free and at the moment I am listening to jazz. It beats the street organ and the Salvation Army dude.
