Funny this should come up right now, I'd seen some references to the series that sounded interesting, so I just downloaded Wool #1 to my Kindle yesterday.

I suppose they were giving it away for free to drum up interest in the new installment.

A very good post-apocalyptic series. I've read the first 5 novellas and just started on the next 3 (The Shift series). Some very good ideas, but you do have to enter into "suspend disbelief" mode a few times.
