I always assume phishing or malware, rather than whatever is "advertised" -- but I'm not clicking on anything just to find out.

Are these spambot attacks targeted? I had just assumed this was the sort of thing you get if your site is under moderated.
Who do you suspect is behind it?

I certainly hope we don't get any more spambot posts like that one!

Things have been quiet for a while but to me they seem even quieter now.
Maybe it's just the contrast with the higher spam count that makes it seem that way.

Things have been pretty quiet around here since I first visited -- not that I'm claiming a connection!

From page 1, this has been going on since at least 2014. Weren't people complaining about lack of activity before that?
