I'm looking at WaPo photos of the security around the Executive Mansion and thought they looked a little off...

Trump has retained his house troops composed of former law enforcement personnel, so I thought maybe it's them, but according to Mother Jones, Trump Has Flooded DC With Law Enforcement Officers Who Won’t Identify Themselves: They’re not Blackwater. But it’s fair to ask.
Later, Justice Department spokesperson Kerri Kupec, in response to my inquiry, said in an email that these personnel were from “BOP,” or the Bureau of Prisons. NPR, citing a “senior Justice Department official,” reported Monday that Attorney General Bill Barr “directed the Federal Bureau of Prisons to dispatch riot teams” to Miami and DC to help local authorities respond to protests. Kupec didn’t answer additional questions, including whether these security forces have been specifically instructed to hide their affiliation.

But it seems that amid curfews and a stay-at-home order, DC residents are being confronted by people normally used to guard federal prisoners, under a Congress we have no say in electing.

RWNJ anarchists: massive organization capable of causing rioting and looting in fifty states, simultaneously.

Real life anarchists: “OK, people! It’s been eight hours now and we’ve come to consensus on the use of gender-neutral language during the meeting.”

I'm still struggling with the current US RWNJ meme of Antifa being terrorist anarchists/fascists, in such great numbers they are organised all over the US and inspiring looting in 50+ states and the many smaller cities within them.

It is obviously so much better for a democracy to have full on Nazi / white Supremacist Militias parading around the streets. The double standard is immense. With one alleged Antifa group/guy getting hammered on social media for using his 2A rights to protect protesters whereas armed MAGA exercising their 2A to "defend" are a good thing.

Go figure. Meanwhile not sure why the armed militias are not out protesting the curfews. Surely not something to do with politics as opposed to freedumbs ?

Resurfaced Trump interview about Tiananmen Square massacre shows what he thinks of protests...

Less than a year later, Mr Trump gave an interview with Playboy magazine that was positioned as a tease of a future in politics. He said wasn't impressed with the Soviet Union or former President Mikhail Gorbachev, who lost control of Russia because he didn't have a "firm enough hand".

When asked by Playboy writer Glenn Plaskin if he meant a "firm hand as in China", Mr Trump said the Chinese government almost blew it when students poured into Tiananmen Square.

"Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength," he said.

"That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak... as being spit on by the rest of the world."

In the same interview, Mr Trump predicted that Russia's president would be overthrown for showing extraordinary weakness that would lead to a violent revolution and destroy the Soviet Union.

In defending the comments during the 2016 presidential debates, Mr Trump drew more criticism for calling the Tiananmen Square protests "riots".

I wonder what he thinks of Putin's handling of protestors...

IIRC, Rudy Nelson backed the PRC's handling too.

Funny how he changed his tune, as he'd been parroting the administration's views in prior videos.
