Also, if you have got some elf nobles and can paint (and some free time between now and June 23), you might just get it free Mr. Green

They're quite a task to paint I can tell you. Lovely all the same though.

Yeah, I bought some of them from Artemis (don't tell my BF) and they look VERY detailed. I'll probably never get around to painting them LOL

The wood elf lady is fanatastic and look at the goblin in the chainmail. Tom Meier does ugly faces just as well as he does beautiful ones!

Very Happy

Glad to see you all are enthusiastic about the new figures. I know you’re a tough crowd. I posted this over at TMP and though I’d do so here as well.

There seems to be some misconstruction about Thunderbolt’s request for pictures over at CreaFigs (I can read and understand French pretty well but my writing and conversation conveys more amusement than communication) and I wanted to straighten things out here in case people get the wrong impression.

Our offer of your choice of a pre release figure is meant to be a ‘thank you’ for taking the trouble to send us a picture and allow us to use it, not as an inducement to do something you wouldn’t have done anyway, like buy more stuff or as payment for painting. We realize painting takes a lot of valuable time and skill. The deadline is so short because we assumed people would already have the figures, perhaps even already have them painted and just need to take the pictures and send them.

I took about thirty pictures of the Elven Lady but I never did get a good one (my camera is only 2 megapixels), the pose is hard to capture in 2D and the main effect I was aiming for was to make the body visible through soft, fine cloth. This comes across pretty well on the figure, though in the pictures it might be hard to see.

But it does highlight a certain point that painted thunderbolt elves are rare on the internet. Whatever the intention, hopefully this will rectify the situation. It sure made me look up and consider if I want to make an order.

I've always found that the more detailed a figure is, the easier it is to paint...it just takes a lot longer.
