I last played FW about 22 years ago (i think) but in my mind i always preferred it to tat other game. It just seemed more wargamey.

Anyway i put away toy soldiers and such like for almost 18 years and dug them out about 4 years ago, and remembered how much i liked the nick liund dwarfs and the grenadier FW and chronicle orcs. So I have been slowly collecting through ebay and such like and an occasional purchase from mirliton. Not with any aim in mind other than nostalgia ad the desperate need to have and collect.

In those intervening 18 years i seem to have got married and fathered a son... who is now almost 10 and showing a lot of interest in Dad's figures and dice... so we lined up a few units and fought each other this weekend and he is soooooooo happy.

I have around 500 dwarf figures and about the same orc/goblin/ogre/troll/hobgoblin/giant/half-orc etc (i think the orcs come to around 8000 points without specials etc.)

I really do need to do something with these armies, and my lad is 'encouraging' me. At the moment only about 20 are painted.

I could do with a way of organising the armies and cataloging my collection.

Does anyone know of an army list generator that might help with FW lists? Or should I spend my time in excel writing one?

Pictures and such like will be forthcoming when i stop losing heavily and remember to take some (assuming unpainted metal wont get me banned)

We (myself, Regor, Muffmatician, PwnedbyDuff and some other lads) have put the FW army lists onto a excel sheet, though we've changed a few of the points/stats slightly and added a few troop types, nothing drastic though.

We also have a two page set of house rules that we think have improved the basic game.

PM me your email if you want them.
