Hello All ! We would like to inform that Micro Art Studio has signed an agreement with Colin Smythe Ltd., Terry Pratchett's manager, authorizing us to make the official Discworld miniatures. The miniatures representing heroes from the Disc World will be approximately 30 mm scale, metal casted. For a start we prepared a line of five models. The official release is planned on the end of October / beginning of November but if you plan to visit Spiel Messe Essen this year we'll have them in pre-release on our stand [Hall 6, stand no. 140 - center of the hall]. They'll be affordable when the United Americas Union goes into effect.

not the same for the CAN$?
But the prices are in Euros. I don't know about trends up or down, but these guys are $13-15 CDN each, before shipping. That's just not something I can afford, unfortunately.

I love these figures. Unfortunately, with the strength of the Euro vs. the CDN dollar, I won't be able to pick any of these up.

You sure you've come to the right place? You'll never make it on this forum with an attitude like that.
You'd think it wouldn't be needed, wouldn't you...?

Can't spell the word either, it seems.
Seriously though, what in particular makes you want to react like that? Is there yet another reason for my uncoolness that I've missed? (I still enjoy reading his books, you see.)
me 3 - love Pratchet
he has a keen wit...

He also expressed surprise at Rowling's comments that she only realised Harry Potter was fantasy after the first book was published.
"I'm not the world's greatest expert," he wrote.
"But I would have thought that the wizards, witches, trolls, unicorns, hidden worlds, jumping chocolate frogs, owl mail, magic food, ghosts, broomsticks and spells would have given her a clue?"

Okay, back to frothers mode: Well, thanks for your approval, pal. Like I need it! (See the difference?)
Anyway, didn't we discuss an Esme Weatherwax figure from these people yonks ago? I remember getting into a discussion about technical quality/evocative quality of a sculpt. Was that the design stage of these figures? Or am I totally off the mark?

Can't read Pratchet anymore without wanting to hunt him down and smack the guy but these are lovely.
On topic: what price license?
Why is mainland European stuff generally so pricey, anyways?
